Healthy Start Scheme 

The Healthy start scheme helps families and those who are pregnant to access healthy food, milk, and vitamins.

If you are eligible, there is guidance on how to apply on the Healthy Start website
How to apply – Get help to buy food and milk (Healthy Start).

You will then receive your pre-paid card by post and instructions on how to activate and use it.
About your card – Get help to buy food and milk (Healthy Start)

You will be able to use your pre-paid card to buy

• Plain liquid cow’s milk.
• Fresh, frozen, or tinned fruit and vegetables
• Fresh, dried, or tinned pulses
• First infant formula milk, based on cow’s milk.

You can also use your card to collect FREE Healthy Start Vitamins for yourself during your pregnancy and up to your baby’s first birthday and vitamin drops for your baby and children under 4 years of age.
